Migraine & Other Headache Disorders

  • Botox Injections For Chronic Migraine: FDA approved for patients who have more than 15 headache days per month
  • Preventive Medication: Daily medication taken so that headaches are not as frequent and severe
  • Rescue Medication: Medication taken at the onset of the headache to eliminate or lessen the severity of the headache
  • Occipital Nerve Blocks: Anesthetic injected into the back of
    the head to eliminate head pain
  • Trigeminal Nerve Blocks (supraorbital & supratrochlear): Anesthetic injected into the eyebrow to stop eye and forehead pain
  • Trigger Point Injections: Anesthetic injected into a painful muscle. Muscles can sometimes be the source of head pain
  • Sphenopalatine Ganglion Block: A non-invasive procedure where anesthetic is deposited behind the nose which can turn off a pain response

Neuropathic & Atypical Facial Pain

  • Preventive Medication: Medication which is used daily
    to stop the tooth, gum or facial pain
  • Topical Treatments: Medication which is applied to the
    painful gum region
  • Oral Stents: Appliance which fits over the teeth and gums
    to provide relief for a painful region
  • Sphenopalatine Ganglion Block: A non-invasive procedure where anesthetic is deposited behind the nose which can turn
    off a pain response

Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ/TMD)

  • Custom-Fitted Oral/Dental Nightguards, Splints,
    and Orthotics:
    These are made to fit over the upper or
    lower teeth. They can be worn during the day and/or night.
    – Helps to reduce tension on the jaw muscles and joint
    – Repositions the jaw if needed for a clicking/locking joint
  • Joint Injections: Injecting steroid or Hyalgan (arthritis medication) can help reduce inflammation and pain within
    the joint
  • Muscle/Trigger Point Injection: Helps reduce inflammation, muscle knots, and pain within the muscle using an anesthetic
    or Botox

Obstructive Sleep Apnea & Snoring

  • Custom-Made Oral/Dental Appliances: This oral sleep
    device fits over the teeth and positions the jaw forward opening the airway.
